Urban ecological infrastructure for Pune

Master's thesis · TU Berlin · 2016 – 17 · Advisor: Ina Säumel

How can ecologically sustainable infrastructure reduce the damage urbanisation does to nature, and make a city more liveable through the services ecosystems provide? The thesis used Pune as its testing ground. It was presented at the Green Surge International Green Infrastructure Conference in Malmö, 2017.

Hour City: strategies of central living

Van Alen Institute & AECOM competition · 2017 · team of five · semifinalist

A framework for housing that would be more affordable than the Pune market offers, socially robust and environmentally sound, and close enough to the centre to cut long commutes. Transit-oriented development combined with co-housing (resident-led, non-speculative, energy-conscious, no private developer) as a pragmatic prototype for part of Pune's housing crisis.

Envisioning Pune 2040

Beri Urban & Environmental Planners · team of four

A proposed growth structure for Pune built on sustainable development and smart growth: one possible future for the city. It joined land use and transport, walkability and large-scale planning into a single framework.

Riverfronts in Pune and Jamnagar
