Every session, legislators ask the government about coastal regulation, fisheries, tourism, jetties, towers and planning, and the government answers on record. Those answers are scattered across years of documents.
This project is building a structured archive of more than 3,600 of them, from questions on the Coastal Zone Management Plan and plastic bans to fishing jetty inspections and tourism in coastal villages, as groundwork for a platform that lets researchers and citizens follow what the state said, and when.
